Community Service

Community Service Activities

Central Electric Power Cooperative provides a number of services to improve the quality of life for those who live, work and play in central Missouri. Programs include:

Green Tree Partnership Program: Each year, Central Electric provides grants of up to $500 to qualifying community organizations, for the planting of trees. Projects funded include trees planted along streets, in downtowns, parks, courthouse yards, school grounds, and historic sites. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis while funding remains available.  All approved projects must be completed by December 31 of the grant year.  If you would like to submit an application, please click HERE.  Should you have any questions about the program, please contact Nancy Gibler.

Energy Education Program: Energy safety and the wise use of electricity are taught to school children and community organizations. For more information on Central’s award-winning Energy Education program, contact Keith Mueller, Joe Schmitz or call Central Electric.  You may also want to visit Central's Education Page.

Scholarship Program:  Central Electric Power Cooperative awards a $1,000 annual scholarship to a first-time entering college freshman at State Technical College located in Linn, Missouri.  Please click HERE to learn about the scholarship guidelines and application process.
